Dominant hotelier strikes deal for big Marriott

Chartwell Hospitality LLC is scheduled to close in early November on its purchase of the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs. At 300 rooms, the hotel (Nasdaq: MAR) ranks behind only the Drury Plaza Hotel among the biggest hotels in what is the region’s longtime suburban corporate headquarters hub — and one of the 20 most affluent counties in the nation, based on the median household income.
